What Is HFBI?

Harrison Faith Bible Institute is a ministry of Lakewood Baptist Church and a satellite school of Faith Bible Institute of Monroe, Louisiana. Harrison Faith Bible Institute (HFBI) seeks to grow and nurture both members of Lakewood Baptist Church and others in their knowledge and practical use of the Bible. The program is offered on Monday evenings from 6:30pm to 9:30pm at Lakewood Baptist Church’s Bragg Ministry Center. HFBI is a three-year program broken into six semesters, allowing you to study through the entire Bible in the three-year course. Classes are shown through video medium with Pastor John Yates as the sole instructor.

What will I study?

HFBI is a great way to expand your knowledge of the Scriptures. By attending HFBI, you will not only read the Bible through, but also study major doctrines in depth and learn how the Bible is useful for everyday living. HFBI also requires daily homework to help establish a habit of studying the Bible on your own.

The HFBI school year is split into fall and spring semesters with Christmas and summer breaks. Each night of the semester, three courses are taught, Old Testament, New Testament, and Theology. The content of each course changes every semester on a three-year rotation, taking students through the entire Bible every three years and allowing new students to join at the beginning of any semester. Below is an overview of course content in each of the six semesters.
